What We Believe
PASC is a community of families and educators dedicated to student success. We believe that a sound background in science and mathematics is mandatory to student success after school in the 21st century, and that well-rounded, inspired students are the most prepared for success after high school. We strive to develop a unique and supportive community that encourages academic excellence, as well as civic and social involvement in both school and local activities.
PASC is founded, administered and operated using a collaborative student-teacher model, and that partnership is valued and promoted in everything that we do. The objective of Provost Academy South Carolina is to provide a challenging, enriching, and meaningful curriculum that educates and respects the individual student and the diverse community of learners in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. We believe in providing students with the tools necessary to meet high academic expectations and achieve academic success, thus building the skills and confidence needed to become intelligent, ethical, responsible, and civic-minded adults.
Eight Core Values
Character development is an important part of the PASC experience. Provost Academy emphasizes EdisonLearning's Eight Core Values - wisdom, justice, courage, compassion, hope, respect, responsibility, and integrity -- as an important part of our school culture.
By actively promoting and embracing the core values throughout learning activities, we provide a clear reference point that encourages the formation of a positive learning culture and guides all that we do. This is true for all members of the PASC community, including teachers, administrators, support staff, and students. |
